💼 The Role

Based in London, this is a hybrid role in which kennek are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to join as a senior backend engineer (NodeJS) within the technology team.

Your skills as a senior engineer will be pivotal in delivering the next wave of enhancements to the kennek lending platform whilst ensuring architecture, security and performance deliver the on the kennek vision. Your enthusiasm and expertise will also ensure that kennek remain trend-setters in credit lending, software engineering and technology.

This is a senior, hands-on technical role and will require a high degree of collaboration across both onshore and offshore teams to drive functionality, security, culture and to progress the platform. You must demonstrate technical expertise as well as drive, leadership and mentorship to ensure all team members continue to thrive in their roles.

🔎 Who you are

• 2+ years in a senior role in React, Nodejs, NestJS/NextJS etc
• Working knowledge of SQL databases such as Postgres, MongoDB, MySQL, Maria
• Demonstratable experience in CI/CD practices and code versioning tools, such as Git, SVN
• Experience in AWS services such as Cognito, SES, SNS
• Strong experience in scalable, resilient microservices and associated architecture
• Beneficial - working experience of event-driven architecture including pub/sub, kafka, RabbitMQ etc
• Beneficial - experience FBP and lo-code tools such as Apache Airflow, no-flo, node-red

  • Remove technical blockers, collaborate with wider teams to promote one-team
  • In concert with other senior members of the team, continue to build the technology teams
